Durable or non-durable. What's best?

While durable (won't wash out easily) flame retardants have their place, we find one major problem that is being overlooked.

Most durable flame retardants have a limited number of times they can be washed and still be effective. That may be 5, 10, 15 or maybe 20 washings.

This means in order to guarantee that you meet code, or that your occupants are safe, you must institute a fail safe record keeping system. Every item treated, must have a record of each wash.The records will have to be available to inspecting officials, and will have to clearly notify you when replacement or retreating is required!

We see a strong possibility of an organization thinking they are protected when they clearly are not.

Our Fabric Product is non-durable. You retreat every time you wash and there is never a question about protection!

For Industrial, Commercial and Residential Use

Flamebusters for Fabric may be used safely on draperies, furniture fabric, carpets, wall coverings, clothing, canvas, shoes, sleeping bags, mattresses and pillows (most all types of fabric). It is odorless, colorless, non-toxic and will not affect look, feel or ventilation qualities of most materials treated.

Flamebusters for Fabric will not lose effectiveness from age or wear; however re-treating after laundering or dry cleaning is required to insure flame resistance. Flamebusters for Fabric will not harm animals, but special care should be taken during application.
